Girl Scouts make the world a better place.  The Great Burn Conservation Alliance's expert scientists and educators want to help Girl Scouts and troops put their mission to work in close-by nature as well as the wilderness of southwest Montana.

On this Thursday early-out, join the Great Burn Conservation Alliance at Franklin Park to learn more about the special animal and plant species that call the Great Burn ecosystem their home.  Through hands-on fun, kids will learn how to help keep these species protected from threats.  Folks who work in the Great Burn are excited to share their knowledge through activities, games, and station learning.

For our adult attendees, the Alliance will host a discussion about ways volunteers can get their troops involved in stewardship service activities in and around the Great Burn.  Volunteers will hear about the Adopt-a-Trailhead program and other ways Girl Scouts can connect with their public lands and the places we call home.

Participants should arrive after eating dinner, and GSMW will provide a fun treat.  If enough Girl Scouts register, there will be an added fun patch, so bring the whole troop!  We also have room for a few tagalongs.

Registration for this event is $4 per girl and closes on May 5th. After May 5th, your program registration is non-refundable.
