GSMW Community Cleanup - Gillette (Grades K-12 & Adults)
As Girl Scouts, we strive to make the world a better place. To help fulfill our mission, GSMW invites all community-minded Girl Scouts, their troops, and families to participate in a Community Cleanup event during GSMW's Community Cleanup Week, 2022. Through these council-wide events, girls, troops, and families will see first-hand not only the impact of litter but also the impact of community service.
Girl Scouts in North East Wyoming will meet at McManamen Park to beautify and connect to their community. GSMW will provide gloves and trash bags to conduct Beautify the Parks project. All you need to do is dress for the weather and prepare to get a little dirty.
Meet in the parking lot around 9 am to gather materials and begin picking up trash around the park. The park is large and will allow everyone to spread out to completely clean the area of debris. Stay for 30 min or the whole 2 hours. Enjoy the company of other Girl Scouts and families as we help out our community and beautify nature.
At all times, children must be accompanied by an adult. Troops must follow required adult-to-girl ratios.
All registered Girl Scouts and registered adult and child participants will receive a bright T-shirt and fun patch to commemorate our Sisterhood's momentous effort to benefit our communities.
IMPORTANT: After registering, reserve your 2022 GSMW Community Cleanup shirts by completing THIS FORM: Your group will only receive shirts for paid registrants whose group leader has completed the online shirt order form.
GSMW will send exact details including location, project goals, and supplies needed in a confirmation email before the event.
To register a sibling or non-member friend, just add an additional girl spot (even for non-girls) to your cart. When adding attendees, you will need to select "Bring a non-member" and then provide the non-member's name, contact info, and grade.
Registration is $6 per person and closes on May 4th. After May 4th, your registration fee is non-refundable.
If the date or time for this cleanup doesn't work for your group, plan a Community Cleanup day with your troop, household, or service unit, and fill-out this form: Community Cleanup Day Form
