Taeyana attended the Sisterhood at Sangam which was a cultural destination that turned the Sangam WAGGS center into her home away from home for two weeks. Through art, dancing, shopping, food, and expeditions, she immersed herself in the rich culture of India. Sisterhood at Sangam encouraged her to make a change in her community, learn more about cultures different from her own, and broaden her perspectives and beliefs.
Pacific Exploration in STEM
Girl Scout: Taeyana G. (Three Forks, MT)
Location: Hawaiian Island of Oahu
Through culture and science, Pacific Exploration in STEM opened Taeyana's eyes to the future of integration and environmental science. She did multiple traditional crafts, heard many stories, danced, and learned about the history of the polynesians islands. She learned about the persepectives of many native hawaiians on tourism and the environmental impacts Hawaii has been facing. It also gave her a chance to explore branches of science she hadn’t considered before. The trip focused on marine science, biology, and astronomy.

Girl Scout: Reata L. (Billings, MT)
Location: Hawaiian Island of Oahu
Oahu is home to the 2nd STEM Center for Excellence, Camp Paumalu, which was donated to the Girl Scouts in 1951. Reata learned about the Hawaiian people and culture by spending time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. She learned how to hula, how to make lei's (while holding them with her feet), and attended a luau. They did a service project in the taro pits full of mud where they had to pull weeds and toured a Marine Education Center in the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve where they did a service project and went snorkeling.
Broadway Bound
Girl Scout: Tessa S. (Billings, MT)
Location: New York City
Tessa immersed herself in the vibrant theater scene and the diverse tapestry of the city revealing how powerful storytelling and artistic expression can be. Witnessing the dedication of performers and the sheer creativity behind the productions highlighted the importance of pursuing one's passions and embracing the arts as a means of both personal fulfillment and social commentary. It made her realize how stories can bridge gaps between people from different backgrounds and spark important conversations about societal issues.
In June of 2025, GSMW hosts a Destination in the Greater Yellowstone region of Montana and Wyoming.
