National Convention

Every three years, delegates from every council across the nation and USA Girl Scouts Overseas—our National Council—meet to discuss, debate, and vote on issues important to the Girl Scout Movement and elect national leaders for the next triennium.

The 58th National Council Session (NCS) took place in Washington, DC, from July 20–22, 2026.

Thousands of Girl Scouts, volunteers, delegates, and supporters gathered in Washington, DC, for the 2026 Girl Scouts of the USA National Convention to celebrate the Movement, elect national leadership, vote on proposals that will guide Girl Scouting over the next three years, and help shape the future of Girl Scouts. One of the week's biggest announcements was the unveiling of the host city for the next National Convention: Indianapolis, Indiana.

Get ready for Indianapolis! The 59th Girl Scouts of the USA National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite event will take place July 23–28, 2029, bringing together nearly 10,000 Girl Scouts, volunteers, delegates, alumni, families, and supporters from across the country. Held every three years, National Convention is the largest gathering of the Girl Scout Movement, featuring inspiring keynote speakers, interactive exhibits, workshops, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with Girl Scouts from every corner of the nation.

Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming is excited to be part of this incredible experience! As plans for the 2029 National Convention continue to unfold, we'll share important updates, delegate information, registration details, and opportunities to participate right here.
