From the sweeping plains to the rolling hills and mountains, into the bustling cities of our great council, this June, Girl Scouts, their friends, and their families will gather to create positive change in their communities during our annual Community Day events.  This year’s events will take place over one week starting on National Trails Day, June 1st, and ending on June 8th.  Community Day events are open to Girl Scouts of all ages, their friends, and their families.

In Casper, participants will provide service to our camp property, Camp Sacajawea, and help prepare the beautiful space for summer activities. Girl Scouts and their friends and families will work with the camp ranger to rake and clean-up pine needles in the yurt and cabin areas, pick-up and remove dead-fall trees and limbs, make camp safe for campers, and help with fire prevention.  The camp ranger will guide us at camp, and participants will split-up to clean our amazing camp property.

Girls and Adults should come prepared with work gloves to prevent scrapes and splinters.  Closed-toe shoes are required.  If you have any rakes, please bring those to help!

All participants will get a snack and a custom GSMW Community Day sticker at the event.  Girl Scouts will also receive a fun patch.

Non-Girl Scout friends, siblings, and tagalongs are welcome to participate, but spots are limited.  Adult registrants will serve as chaperones during the program.

If our GSMW-sponsored events don’t work with your group’s schedule, use the Community Day Independent Group Form to share your project overview and participant numbers and to purchase patches and stickers.

Registration for this event is $5 per girl and closes on May 19th. After May 19th, your program registration is non-refundable.
