The third annual Girl Scout Day of Science will occur all across
Wyoming and Montana on March 2nd, 2024! Partner museums will provide
girls with hands-on explorations of all things STEM!
On
this special Girl Scout Day of Science, Girl Scouts and their families
and friends can drop-in to MNHC anytime between 11AM and 4PM. At
MNHC, Girl Scouts and their friends and family can participate in a
scavenger hunt, taking them all around the museum to meet with
educators and investigate the museum's many animal, plant, and
geological specimens. From 1PM to 3PM, a naturalist educator will lead
kids through owl pellet dissections!
In addition, a limited number of Girl Scout registrants are eligible to earn the custom Montana Natural History Center Naturalist fun patch. Check out the fun patch requirements here. After registration closes, GSMW will email you all more information on earning the extra Naturalist patch.
Missoula is hosting two GS Day of Science events at MNHC and spectrUM Discovery Area. You can attend both! To attend both, participants must register separately for both.
All participants, adults, and siblings three years of age and older must register to join the programming. The $5.00 fee does not include a patch, but you can add the $3.00 patch when registering. The patch is the same as last year's.
Registration for this event is $5 per girl and closes on February 18th. After February 18th, your program registration is non-refundable.
