Every year, thousands of Girl Scouts explore the natural wonders found across our country during the Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend. Girl Scouts nationwide and their friends and families celebrate our shared love of the outdoors.

This year at Keyhole, Girl Scouts will deep-dive into the life and play of the black-footed ferret.  Black-footed ferrets are an amazing conservation case with unique ties to Wyoming. Ranger Katie will be joined by our live Ambassador (domestic) Ferrets to discuss the importance of conservation and our natural ecosystems. We will also get to play with the cute ferrets!

After exploring the lives of our native black-footed ferrets, our ranger for the day will take us to work on a special service project at Keyhole State park.  Have you ever seen the brightly colored mountain bluebirds flying around? Keyhole State Park has a bunch of them all over the park! Help Park Staff build bluebird nesting boxes for future bluebird families to use.

Girls will receive a fun patch, and a snack will be provided. Family and tag-a-longs are welcome. Everyone should bring a sack lunch.

Registration for this event is $8 per girl and closes on August 29th. After August 29th, your program registration is non-refundable.
