Girl Scouts is part of a global organization called World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts or WAGGS. Over 150 countries participate in WAGGS. World Thinking day gives girls a chance to celebrate world friendships. The 2024 World Thinking Day theme is "Our World, Our Thriving Future: The environment and global poverty"
Each participating troop will research their country and share their knowledge through a table display, craft, game, or a way of their own. Each troop should give away SWAPS or treats that represent their country. Going with this year's theme, girls should try to investigate a community issue that has a global dimension.
When girls are traveling to each other's booths, they will stamp their WTD passports. Each troop will create a flag that represents their country. Near the end of the event, participants will hold a parade of flags.
Each girl will receive a World Thinking Day passport and patch. Girls may participate without a troop. Troops will receive a link to complete an informational form after registration.
Registration for this event is $15 per girl and closes on February 12th. After February 12th, your program registration is non-refundable.
