Become a Teen Mentor as you earn your Program Aide (PA) Award!  Girl Scouts requires the PA Training to earn this notable award.  The training gives girls the skills and tools needed to develop leadership skills while working with younger girls.

When girls guide or teach other girls, they act as mentors. As teen mentors, Girl Scouts Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will share skills, test knowledge, and try-out new leadership roles. For the younger girls receiving their mentoring, it means a chance to learn from teens – some of their favorite people and role models!

After completing this training, girls will need to work with younger girls over the course of six activity sessions in order to finish earning their Program Aide Award.  They can assist younger troops with Journey or badge activities, help at a Girl Scouts day camp, or help at a service unit or council event. Once all requirements are met, PA candidates can purchase their award separately.

Adults are needed to provide supervision and meet the Safety Activity ratios. Please consider registering to help this training happen. Adults volunteers must be registered members of Girl Scouts.
