Join us to learn more about supporting your Girl Scouts with mental health challenges.

Did you know that the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) reports that 1 in 5 teens and young adults lives with a Mental Health condition? Do you want to learn additional skills to support and assist the girls in your troop, community, and others?

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18. Complete 2 hours of pre-work and then join us for an in-person session of learning about Youth Mental Health First Aid. After completion of the course, you will be a certified Youth Mental Health First Aider!

  • Pre-Work: 2 hours to be completed online prior to the training (this is at your own pace through an online site)
  • Thanks to a generous grant from Shifting Gears, registration is  FREE and lunch will be provided.
  • Attendees will also need to attend a virtual session to complete their certification on Wednesday, March 19th from 5-8 PM.
  • All Non-Member Adults registering for YMHFA will receive a complementary Girl Scout Membership.

Registration for this event closes on February 28th.
