Girl Scouts and Troops are invited to the Wyoming Camporee, held this year at the lovely and rugged wilderness of Camp Open Door outside of Jackson, Wyoming! While at camp, girls will explore a variety of badge-earning and outdoor-focused activities. In addition, they will have fun singing songs, performing skits, learning traditions, and cooking outdoors.
The Camporee runs Friday through Sunday and is open to Daisies through Ambassadors. Daisies will need to attend the program with a registered adult member. All other girls can attend as a troop or group with the appropriate number of member adults to meet their group's required adult-to-girl ratios. Girls, troops, and groups must bring their own sleeping gear. GSMW will send a packing list.
Groups and Troops can arrive on Friday after 4:30pm. Once registration closes, GSMW will communicate with participants about the process for arrival and departure. Girls and Troops will be in charge of their own dinner Friday night OR feel free to bring your dinner to cook over the fire with us!
Saturday is full of exciting activities focused on badge-earning, the Outdoors, and traditions. While acting as nature detectives, girls will work on their age-respective Outdoor Art Badges and their detective-themed badges for each level.
GSMW is excited to host this camp for all girls, and we look forward to camping with you and your troop!
Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and adults can add-on whitewater rafting on Thursday for an additional $75. You must add this $75 option during Camporee registration. Whitewater rafting participants are welcome to stay at Camp Open Door on Thursday night. Adults can also add-on the option to complete the Outdoor Cookout Training, during the event, for an additional $5.
If you are a Senior or Ambassador, you are welcome to participate in this Camporee, or you can sign up for the Senior Ambassador Expedition which occurs the same weekend. The expedition will start and end at the same location as the Camporee. Registration for the Expedition is separate and is found on GSMW's events page.
Registration for this event is $45 per girl and closes on July 24th. After July 24th, your program registration is non-refundable.
