Horseback riding teaches girls responsibility, patience, discipline, understanding, empathy, compassion, problem solving, and self-control. At the Beartooth Pony Club, girls will be in a supportive and encouraging environment that will help them try a new skill and have fun without pressure or discouragement. This fantastic program covers horse safety, grooming, tacking-up, care, and feed, plus fun horse crafts and games! Girl Scouts will also receive a beginner riding lesson and a fun patch!
Girls will get to participate in a fun and interactive environment
where they will also learn:
• Horse Breeds, Color, and
Uses
• Beginning Equitation
• Beginning Fundamentals of Riding
Riding helmets will be provided. Adults who register to attend will be expected to help at the event, and adult registration does not include horseback riding.
Please note that this program is the same as the Afternoon Horsin' Around program on the same day, so be sure to choose the time that works best for you!
Registration for this event is $41 per girl and closes on May 10th. After May 10th, your program registration is non-refundable.
