Become a Teen Mentor as you earn your Program Aide (PA) Award!  Girl Scouts requires the PA Training to earn this notable award.  The training gives girls the skills and tools needed to develop leadership skills while working with younger girls.

When our Cadettes teach other girls, they act as mentors. As teen mentors, Girl Scouts will share skills, test knowledge, and try-out new leadership roles. For the younger girls receiving their mentoring, it means a chance to learn from teens – some of their favorite people and role models!  Registrants will receive a Program Aide Journal and a songbook in the mail.

Girls must attend all four classes from 7:00PM to 8:00PM on consecutive Tuesdays & Thursdays: April 25th and 27th as well as May 2nd and 4th.

After completing the virtual portion of the training, supervised Cadettes must work with a group of younger girls over the course of six activity sessions to complete the Program Aide Award requirements.  Activity sessions might include badge activities, a service unit day camp, or a council event.  Girls must be involved in the planning and implementation of these activities.

PA Award candidates in southwest Wyoming may also consider helping at southwest Wyoming's three day camps.  Working on the PA Award at the southwest Wyoming day camps will also earn girls a leadership role at the annual Robertson, WY Outdoor Adventure Camp.  Regional PA Award candidates must complete Program Aide training to Attend the Leadership Camp in Green River, WY, May 5th - 7th.

Registration for this event is $15 per girl and closes on April 11th. After April 11th, your program registration is non-refundable.
