Did you know that the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) reports that 1 in 5 teens and young adults lives with a Mental Health condition? Do you want to learn additional skills to support and assist the girls in your troop, community, and others?
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.
This class will include two hours of pre-work that you will do online in preparation, and then you will join us for two days of Youth Mental Health First Aid Training on August 3rd and 4th at Timbercrest Camp.
Training includes lodging and food. YMHFA corresponds to a weekend of training: First Aid & CPR Certification starts on Friday afternoon, the 4th of August, and the Volunteer Retreat starts Friday night. Register separately for all three events. Sign up today!
Registration for this event is $40 per person and closes on July 18th. After July 18th, your program registration is non-refundable.
