No bones about it! Uncover the mysteries of an owl’s diet with the Montana Natural History Center! Girl Scouts will transform bones, dissected from owl pellets (not poop!), into unique skeletal art.
Led by a naturalist educator, participants will explore owl digestion, dissect their own pellets to reveal the bones of tiny creatures, and identify what the owl had for dinner—be it a vole, shrew, or something mysterious! Then, they’ll piece the bones together to create an eerie and fascinating work of art.
Brownies must attend with an adult, and the adult's registration fee is included in Brownie registration. Juniors and older can participate independently. Adults are also welcome to register and make their own creations. Limited space — drop-off required for non-participating adults.
And for an extra treat, arrive an hour early to complete MNHC’s Girl Scout fun patch before the Owl Pellet Art program begins! Email customercare@gsmw.org with questions.
Registration for this event is $22 per person and closes on January 9th. After January 9th, your program registration is non-refundable.
