GSMW, in partnership with Eastern Wyoming College and Women in Trucking, invites Girl Scouts and their friends and families to our 2nd annual transportation expo: Trucks are for Girls!
At the event, Girl Scouts will learn about an important segment of our economy while getting up-close views of a tractor-trailer, coach, school bus, and more in a fun-filled day of learning. The day starts with a guest speaker followed by a Q&A session. Then, participants can explore the amazing equipment and informational booths.
Participants can crawl inside a truck and learn about the operations and functions. They'll also explore careers in the trucking and transportation industry and talk with the amazing women forging-ahead in the field.
Participants will leave the event with a better understanding of what keeps America moving and how they can be part of it. Each Girl Scout participant will receive a custom Women In Trucking Association transportation patch.
The event includes vendors from all over the transportation field, including representatives from the Eastern Wyoming College CDL Program, Women in Trucking, Coach USA, Wyoming Department of Transportation, Converse County School District, and MORE! All vendors are women-owned, managed, or supported, proving that Trucks are for Girls!
Everyone will leave with exciting memories and an understanding of the transportation field! Please register all girl, tag-a-long, and adult participants so we can prepare the right number of supplies. Adult registration is FREE. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and troops should meet required adult-to-child ratios.
Registration for this event is $5 per child and closes on September 29th. After September 29th, your program registration is non-refundable.
