Embark on an unforgettable 4-day, 3-night backpacking adventure through the breathtaking Bridger Wilderness in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains with Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts from across GSMW! This marks our fifth year guiding these incredible GOALS trips, and we’re excited to invite you to experience one of Wyoming’s most stunning wilderness areas. Don’t worry about gear—everything you don't have we will do our best to provide!
Throughout this epic trip, you’ll earn your Senior Adventure Camper or Ambassador Survival Camper badges while challenging yourself, exploring the great outdoors, and discovering new strengths. As you hike through the mountains, you’ll meet new friends, sharpen your outdoor skills, and develop leadership abilities that will last a lifetime.
Before the adventure begins, we’ll hold 1-2 pre-trip meetings to go over gear lists, logistics, and transportation details. On the evening before we hit the trail, we’ll gather to get to know each other, review our gear, and learn how to pack our backpacks. We’ll make sure everything is organized, fit our backpacks, and divide up shared gear, ensuring we're all set for the adventure ahead.
As we journey through this awe-inspiring landscape, we’ll take time to relax, snack, capture photos, and rest. Along the way, we’ll explore the backcountry, practice leadership, and deepen our connection with nature. The final day of the trip will be a celebration of everything we’ve accomplished before heading home.
Please note: This trip is for girls ready to take on a challenge, with a minimum of 20 miles covered over four days. It's the perfect opportunity to forge lasting friendships, gain backcountry skills, and grow as a leader in the wild!
